Who are student ambassadors?

Student Ambassadors are a group of students from both Key Stages who go through an application and interview process and represent the Values and Expectations of Cockburn John Charles Academy students. Students work to the code as listed below:

The Code

Student Ambassadors are Cockburn John Charles Academy’s principal representatives of our Values and Expectations.

Cockburn John Charles Academy looks to the Student Ambassadors to set an example both to other students and to other members of the academy as a whole. When fulfilling their various roles around the academy they should treat younger students in a firm but fair manner. In return, younger students should treat Student Ambassadors with politeness and respect.

Student Ambassadors are be expected to:

  • Meet regularly with the Head of School to discuss and feedback their views
  • Attend school events such as performances, Open Evening, New Intake Evening, etc
  • Be available to meet and greet visitors and conduct tours of the school
  • Play a significant role in Cockburn John Charles Academy’s journey “Transformation to Excellence”
